Cervical Myelopathy
A debilitating condition caused by compression of the spinal cord resulting in loss of balance and coordination. It can occur in conjunction with radiculopathy. Compression on the spinal cord causes the signals it carries to get mixed, and leads to a loss of function. Initially they can be quite subtle, with difficulty with balance when your eyes are closed (washing your hair in the shower) or being more clumsy than normal. Over time it can progress to falling over and being unable to walk anymore. Cervical myelopathy is often, but not always accompanied with cervical radiculopathy (pain/numbness radiating into arms/hands)
