Dr. Jason Meldau is a comprehensive spine surgeon who treats conditions affecting the neck, mid-back, and lower back. Skilled in both surgical and non-surgical care, Dr. Meldau focuses on creating personalized treatment plans based on the latest research to help each patient achieve their goals, whether that’s returning to sports or spending quality time with family.

Dr. Meldau earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, graduating cum laude and receiving the prestigious Board of Trustees Award. He continued his education at Michigan State University for medical school. Afterward, he completed his residency at Loyola University Medical Center, a program with an expertise in complex spine care. Dr. Meldau further specialized through a fellowship at the Spine Institute of Arizona, a top program recognized for advanced minimally invasive spine surgery techniques.

Dr. Meldau creates a welcoming and professional environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and sharing concerns. He believes in listening carefully, explaining conditions clearly, and involving patients in decisions about their care. His approach ensures patients leave each visit feeling informed, confident, and hopeful about their treatment plan.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Meldau is a respected contributor to the field of orthopaedic and spine surgery with over 20 peer-reviewed publications and more than 40 presentations at national and international conferences. He is an active member of organizations, including the North American Spine Society, the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, and the Lumbar Spine Research Society staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in spine care. Dr. Meldau has additionally been acknowledged as a member of the Scott D. Boden Emerging Leaders Forum of the American Orthopaedic Association.

In his free time, Dr. Meldau loves hiking, skiing, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Robyn, living an active and fulfilling life.
